Epidural Needle
The curved and rounded tip helps to greatly reduce the risk of puncturing the dura and ensure smooth passage of the cannula. The needle cannula is graduated to control depth. The winged hub facilitates handling and needle insertion.
Epidural needles come in a variety of sizes and lengths. Adults typically use an 18G (thinner) or 16G (thicker) epidural needle. The epidural needle must be long enough to reach the epidural space from the waist on the patient's back.
