PRODUCT INFORMATION
A nasal cannula is a simple, effective, and comfortable low-flow oxygen delivery device.
Consists of a small bore tube connected to two short prongs that are inserted into the nostrils to supply the patient with oxygen either directly from a flow meter or through humidified air.
It is used for short-term or long-term treatment (i.e. COPD patients) and is best for stable patients who require small amounts of oxygen.
Notes: In the process of using this product, there will be a situation that it is easy to fall off. It does not work well if the patient is a mouth respirator or has blocked nostrils or a deviated septum or polyp. If the flow is higher than 4 L/min, it may dry to the nostrils. A humidifier should be used to help prevent drying of the nasal and oral mucosa.
