Festival Origin
October 1, 1949, the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China, namely the founding ceremony. It was held in Tian 'anmen Square in Beijing.

December 3, 1949, the Central People's Government decided to October 1 each year for the People's Republic of China declared the founding of the great day, for the People's Republic of China National Day.

1. Flag-raising Ceremony

On National Day, the national flag of the People's Republic of China is raised at 6:10 A.M. The five-star red flag is flying over Tian 'anmen Square.

2. Military Parade

The military parade is an important part of the National Day . National Day is implemented in a "small celebration” every five years, a “big celebration” every ten years, and a military parade is held during the time of the “big celebration" in China.

3. Decorates

Every National Day festival, every place will hang the national flag or banner, with "celebrate the National Day" and other slogans to celebrate the festival.

4. Holiday
In order to celebrate this important festival, the state prescribes a seven-day holiday. People can use this time to make short-term plans, such as travel, study, sports and other activities.
