Hypodermic needles are available as a needle only or a needle and syringe combination. A hypodermic needle is a hollow needle usually used with a syringe to inject substances into the body or extract fluids from it. They can also be used to collect fluid samples from the body, such as blood from a vein during venipuncture.
Elastic bandages are "stretchable bandages used to generate local pressure". Elastic bandages are usually used to treat muscle sprains and strains. They reduce blood flow to specific areas by applying steady pressure, thereby limiting swelling in the injured area. Elastic bandages are also used to treat fractures.
